During the story, the two of them reveal the secret that started them on their downward spiral. Henrietta’s son Will is a college educated executive who is stuck in a loveless marriage. He is currently involved in a secret love affair that could lead to harsh consequences if it is revealed. All three of Henrietta’s children have been deceived by the actions of a deceased family member who is a deceitful sociopath. The love Henrietta had for her children is demonstrated throughout the story. By the end of the book everyone’s lives are on a positive path and they are well on their way to becoming the close knit family their mother always wanted them to be.
